Go therefore....

Identifying with the radical Anabaptist movement of the sixteenth century, we desire to encourage members of Balham Community Church to live out the teaching Jesus gave to His disciples, commonly called The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and also to inspire members to go out into all the world as Jesus commanded in the Great Commission, to make disciples of all people groups (Matthew 28v19-20).

We believe all followers of Jesus are called to obey this call to missions wherever they are, beginning in the neighbourhoods they live and work in and even to the ends of the earth. Our desire is to make Disciples of Christ through the whole gospel of words, works and wonders, and we are therefore completely dependant on the Holy Spirit to enable and empower us with words of knowledge, words of wisdom and faith for signs and wonders. We desire to share the good news of Jesus with the poor wherever we can, through compassionate acts of love and kindness both in London and also in other parts of the world.

In recent years we have sent teams to South America, India, China and Europe to work alongside indigenous Christian ministries and churches and individuals. Our purpose is to offer hope to those living in despair and poverty, through offering financial assistance, people skills and to offer salvation to those who have never heard about the gift of God in Jesus.
